Changunarayan to Telkot Hike

You will be picked from the Hotel & drive to Changunarayan. After one and half an hour you will reach a Village.  It’s an old beautiful temple of the 4th century. It’s a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Bishnu. There you can see different statues of Deities of Lord Ganesha, Elephant, etc. It’s a small old village at the top of the Hill. If the weather is clear, you will also see the Mountains. March-April and October-September is the best time to see the mountains from this place. On the way to the temple, you will see local people crafting wooden statues of God and Goddess. After a short tour of this temple, you will start a hike to Telkot. You will start from small local villages – where you evident the way of typical living of Nepali’s. On the way, you will also get people working on their fields for seasonal crops and some grazing their cattle. There is a high chance of seeing Blue long-tailed Magpie bird (Lampuchre) in the forest. It’s an easy and refreshing hike in Kathmandu Valley. After crossing the forest you will hike down and reach Telkot. From there you will drive back to the Kathmandu Valley.
